Please open and inspect all live bait ASAP. You must notify us with 24 hrs. to receive refund or replacement on all guaranteed live bait.
- Canadian Nightcrawlers including Green and baby Nightcrawlers: Lumbricus terrestris :
Open and examine Nightcrawlers as soon as you receive them. Contact us immediately if there are any problems. Remove Nightcrawlers from bag and place in plastic cooler, tub or bait container that has a lid. If container has no lid, Nightcrawlers will escape if not under constant direct light. Nightcrawlers must be refrigerated. 40 degrees is ideal temperature for nightcrawlers. Remove any sick or dead Nightcrawlers from the container and dispose of them. Bedding of Nightcrawlers must be changed every 4-5 weeks. If you need additional bedding, please contact us or you can purchase black peat from most nurseries. Nightcrawlers require 1lb. of bedding for every 1 lb. of worms.
- European Nightcrawlers: Eisenia hortensis:
Open and examine Europeans as soon as you receive them. Contact us immediately if there are any problems. If Europeans arrived in bag, remove immediately and place in plastic cooler, tub or bait container. If container has no lid, Europeans will escape if not under constant direct light. Europeans do not require refrigeration but prefer temperature between 50-60 degrees. Remove any sick or dead Europeans and dispose of them. If bedding is to dry you can lightly spray them with non-chlorinated water to liven them up. Bedding of Europeans must be changed every 4-5 weeks. If you need additional bedding, please contact us or you can purchase peat moss from most nurseries. Europeans require 1lb. of bedding for every 1 lb. of worms.
- Butterworms: Chilecomadia moorei:
Open and examine Butterworms as soon as you receive them. Contact us immediately if there are any problems. Place Butterworms in refrigerator. Butterworms must remain refrigerated. They prefer 40-45 degrees. Butterworms will last 4-6 weeks in refrigerator. Remove any sick or dead Butterworms and dispose of them. Butterworms are packaged in wheat bran and bedding needs to remain dry. If you need additional bedding, please contact us.
- Waxworms: Galleria mellonella:
Open and examine Waxworms as soon as you receive them. Contact us immediately if there are any problems. Place Waxworms in a cool dry place. Waxworms do not have to remain refrigerated. They prefer 50-60 degrees. Waxworms will last 2-3 weeks. Remove any sick or dead Waxworms and dispose of them. Waxworms are packaged in pine shavings and sawdust and bedding needs to remain dry. - Maggots Calliphora Vicina:
Open and examine Maggots as soon as you receive them. Contact us immediately if there are any problems. Place Maggots in refrigerator. Maggots must remain refrigerated. They prefer 33-35 degrees. Maggots will last 4-6 weeks. Remove any sick or dead Maggots and dispose of them. If you remove any Maggots from packaging do not return them to original packaging. Maggots once they warm up tend to pupate and for some reason cause other Maggots to pupate as well. Maggots are packaged in pine shavings and sawdust and bedding needs to remain dry. - Mousies: Eristallis Tenax:
Open and examine Mousies as soon as you receive them. Contact us immediately if there are any problems. Place Mousies in refrigerator. Mousies have to remain refrigerated. They prefer 33-35 degrees. Mousies will last 2-4 weeks. Remove any sick or dead Mousies and dispose of them. If you remove any Mousies from packaging do not return them to original packaging. Mousies are packaged in sawdust or paper bedding, bedding can remain damp. If you need additional bedding, please contact us.
- Leeches: Nephelopsis obseura:
Open and examine Leeches as soon as you receive them. Contact us immediately if there are any problems. Replace water on leeches immediately using cold well or rain water. DO NOT use chlorinated water. Place Leeches in bucket with lid and place in refrigerator. Leeches must remain refrigerated and water must be changed daily. They prefer 40-45 degrees. Leeches will last 1-3 weeks. Remove any sick or dead Leeches and dispose of them.
- Crayfish: Orconectes rusticus:
Open and examine Crayfish as soon as you receive them. Contact us immediately if there are any problems. Replace water on Crayfish immediately using cold well or rain water. DO NOT use chlorinated water. Place Crayfish in bucket with lid and place in cool area. Crayfish must remain cool and water must be changed daily. They prefer 50-60 degrees. Crayfish will last 1-2 weeks. Remove any sick or dead Crayfish and dispose of them.
- Mealworms: Tenebrio Molitor:
Open and examine Mealworms as soon as you receive them. Contact us immediately if there are any problems. Place Mealworms in refrigerator. Mealworms live better if refrigerated. They prefer 35-40 degrees. Mealworms will last 4-6 weeks. Remove any sick or dead Mealworms and dispose of them. Mealworms are packaged in wheat bran and bedding needs to remain dry. If you need additional bedding, please contact us. You may feed them cut up potatoes or carrots.
- Superworms: Zophobas Morio:
Open and examine Superworms as soon as you receive them. Contact us immediately if there are any problems. Place Superworms in cool dry area. They prefer 60-70 degrees. Superworms will last 4-6 weeks. Remove any sick or dead Superworms and dispose of them. Superworms are packaged in what bran and bedding needs to remain dry. If you need additional bedding, please contact us. You may feed them cut up potatoes or carrots.

Will you be restocking crayfish?
We are hoping to restock crayfish by 6/21/22.
What are your biggest leeches?
Are biggest leeches are water ribbon leeches. We usually carry med/large size only. Mud Leeches are far bigger however we do not carry them at this time.
Can I buy maggot bedding. I don’t see it listed anywhere in ur catalogue?
