We ship primarily using US Postal Service Priority Mail. We do use UPS, FedEx and USPS First Class mail as well. We have found that all carriers lose packages and delay shipments. However, USPS Priority Mail offers the fastest service for the most reasonable cost.
We ship Canadian and European Nightcrawlers in Muslin Cloth bags to reduce shipping cost and environmental concerns due to Styrofoam. Other baits come packaged in plastic cups with enough bedding to last approximately 3-4 weeks. We add Ice packs/ heat packs at no additional cost when necessary to guarantee our live bait arrives alive and healthy.
Orders are usually shipped the same day if order by 12:00 pm EST. Orders placed after 12:00 P.M. will ship the following business day. We ship live bait Monday thru Wednesday to all areas. We ship live bait on Thursdays to all areas within 2-day Priority Mail service from Marblehead, OH. We do not ship live bait on Friday or Saturdays.
If your live bait arrives dead or sickly-looking call us immediately at 1-800-955-8795. Sometime bait just needs 24 hrs. of refrigeration or moisture to bounce back. If that is not the case we will either refund your order or reship order at no additional cost on the next available shipping date.
